On the fifth anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq, Alaskans for Peace & Justice and MoveOn held a vigil for peace in Anchorage. The response of the passersby was overwhelmingly positive. On Saturday, we met again downtown and marched through the streets of Anchorage. A middle-aged man sitting in his car at an intersection, wearing a USA knit hat, told us, "You people are the only smart ones in town."
